Sam Kench is an author, screenwriter, and filmmaker based in Los Angeles.
A lover of all forms of art and storytelling, it was the world of cinema that first drew Kench to writing. He writes in all genres with a particular affinity for the dark and twisted and a penchant for stories that change throughout and keep readers guessing.
Outside of storytelling, Kench is an avid poker player and has worked as a professional film critic since he was 15. In 2014, Kench was named one of the most important defenders of free speech by the National Coalition Against Censorship.
In 2022, Kench was included in the top four screenwriters under the age of 25 as chosen by the Black List and the Writer's Guild for the Michael Collyer Fellowship.
His debut novel, The Fall of Polite, was self-published in 2020. South of the Mason-Dixon is his second novel.
